Following its earlier achievement of winning the 2025 Good Design Award (also known as G-Mark) in the architecture category in Japan, Foshan·Shunde —— the Zhida Group Headquarters Renewal Project has received yet another honor at the end of 2025, securing the 2025 Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Award outside Hong KongMixed-use Building. This award is widely recognized as one of the highest honors in Hong Kong’s architectural design industry. This consecutive international recognition not only signifies that the Zhida Textile Headquarters has reached globally high standards in design, innovation, and sustainability but also highlights the brand strength and cultural vision of Zhida Textile as a leading enterprise in China’s textile fabric and soft furnishing industry.

Zhida HQ, founded in 1988, has grown over the years into a leading enterprise in China’s furniture, soft furnishings, and textile industries, backed by robust group strength and a distinctive corporate brand culture. The vision behind its headquarters renovation is to seize this renewal opportunity by infusing the space with the company’s product culture, reorganizing the overall layout, and crafting a unique quality befitting an industry leader—thereby redefining the sector’s image. The design adopts modern materials while drawing on classical aesthetic language, allowing the architecture to embody a purer, more essential character. This approach not only reflects the artistic essence of Zhida’s culture but also echoes the enterprising and innovative spirit inherent in Lingnan culture. Inside, the reorganization of circulation paths introduces "landscape" into the space, guided by a "garden tour" concept that orchestrates shifting spatial sequences. This creates an ambiance akin to a “pan-art museum” and fosters diverse social settings, embodying values of pragmatism, openness, diversity, and harmony.

The project is a mixed-use corporate headquarters that integrates office working space, art exhibitions, conference and training, sports and fitness, urban farms, and catering and banquets. In terms of floor layout, the lower zone of building is mainly for product and art exhibitions, the middle zone is for offices, conferences, staff restaurants, and activity centers, and the higher zone is for corporate clubs, urban farms, and rooftop gardens.

The main architecture embodies the elegant, stable, soft and approachable temperament for a textile enterprises headquarters. The facade innovatively adopts a hot curved glass curtain wall. This continuous and transparent curved glass wall creates a silky and soft facade emotion. It presents a fashionable, smooth, elegant and noble corporate image facing the city's main roads. With the lights on at twilight time, it becomes absolutely unforgettable at first sight by most people. The indoor space incorporates the concept of "Universal Art Museum", with different floors reorganized through flow circulation and incorporating "vertical scenery", creating a space sequence and light and shadow effects with a "garden tour" concept that is deeply rooted in Eastern gardening temperament.

To reduce the excessive sunlight and large amount of thermal radiation due to east-west facing of the main building, the facade adopts a double skin sunshade and heat dissipation design. The outer layer is formed by a series of hot curved glass curtains with ventilation louvers to form a shading device, which has ventilation and breathability performance; The continuous green planted balcony between the curved glass and the building structure helps efficiently cooling down the hot air; The inner layer is made of low-e insulation glass to further reduce heat radiation and indoor temperature. The different floors inside the building have opened up many cross story atrium spaces, enhancing air circulation and heat dissipation effects, as well as increasing employee interaction and communication.
